Educational Programs
This
is the traditional do-it-yourself program. Parents are responsible
for all aspects of their child's education: registering, choosing
and purchasing curriculum, teaching and grading. They then report
the semester grades to D1 to be placed in the student's permanent
file. To be on this program, the parent or legal guardian of
the student must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to show
proof of it. COST OF INDEPENDENT PROGRAM before Aug 1 Aug1-Dec 31 after Dec 31 1st

This
program is a transition between a traditional school and a traditional
homeschool. When a student is registered with this program, he is
first given a diagnostic test to determine his academic placement.
Then his curriculum is prescribed for him based on his individual
strengths and weaknesses. He is then given his first assignments to
take home and complete. As he works on them, he can call D1 to set
up meetings with his own personal tutor if he needs help that his parents
cannot give. After he finishes his assignments, he returns to the
academy to be tested over the material, receive a grade and the next set
of assignments. All record-keeping is done by D1. The
great benefits of this program include the individually prescribed
curriculum, individual tutoring and increased accountability as well as
the parents' freedom from the hassle of choosing curriculum and
determining grades Student should live close

program is for families who like the services of the satellite program but
live too far away to visit the school regularly. Students are still
prescribed an individualized curriculum; they just receive everything
through the mail and return their completed work to the school through the
mail. To be on this program, the parent or legal guardian of
the student must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to show
